A half day spoon carving workshop for adult beginners and improvers.

Service Description
This is your chance to improve your spoon carving by practicing knife grips using a template or "blank" which will be provided. This is a step up from carving a flat wooden spoon or a cooking spoon and will be a great opportunity to hone your spoon carving skills on a slimmer, more refined spoon design. You will not be using the axe as you will be provided with suitable blank to work on. During the workshop you will be reminded of a variety of knife cuts to safely and effectively carve your spoon, including the use of a hook knife to hollow out the spoon's bowl. Refreshments will be provided. By the end of the session you will have carved your own long handled jar spoon to take away with you. This will be in a small group of up to 8 people and is becoming booked up fast, so hurry to book on.
