Carve a Lidded Scandinavian Shrink Box

Service Description

Shrink boxes are storage boxes that use the natural properties of greenwood as it dries to make easy what would otherwise be complex joints in the construction of the box. You will use traditional tools supplied for your use during the workshop to make a wooden lidded storage box. Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits are provided throughout the day but you will need to bring a packed lunch. By the end of the day you will have your own lidded box which you will be able to take home with you. You will need to allow about two weeks for your box to dry before use. There are a maximum of 6 places on this workshop and it is already being booked up, so do not delay if you would like to make your own lidded shrink box.
